Tornus

Tornus is a penetration microcatheter used to broaden the lumen of vessels, thus ensuring easy access to other medical devices and enabling particularly serrated lesions to be treated.
The Tornus microcatheter can get past chronic total occlusions (CTO) by spiral movements, particularly when the guide gets past the lesion but the lumen created is not sufficiently large to put the devices in position.

The body of the Tornus microcatheter is made entirely of metal, obtained by twisting 8 steel guides (diameter 0.12mm for Tornus and 0.18mm for Tornus 88Flex), while the outer surfaces have a hydrophilic coating to prevent the formation of thrombi.
