FLOWer

Embolic protection device

FLOWer is a total body embolic protection device that is used during Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI) interventions.

The device consists of a microporous filter and two nitinol structures that allow the device to be anchored in the aortic arch and at the same time allow the passage of the aortic valve release system. The filter is inserted in a delivery system which facilitates its positioning and then the recapture at the end of TAVI. It is available in three different sizes (28, 32, 36) to adapt to the patient’s specific anatomy.

By protecting the cerebral and systemic circulation by capturing and removing embolic particles that may be released during the procedure, this device promotes greater safety and effective execution of the procedure.
