The CompressAR® compression system was the first mechanical compression device to replace manual compression for post-procedural femoral haemostasis. This device continues to be the most popular mechanical compression system, used on over 30 million patients all over the world in both cardiological and radiological interventional environments and in intensive care.
Designed as a “hands-free” compression system that can be used by the nursing staff to obtain a rapid haemostatic effect on the femoral artery, the CompressAR® system limits contact with blood and optimizes the staff’s activity.
The CompressAR® system also eliminates muscle and joint pain and problems in the hands caused by repeated use of the same muscle fascia during manual compression. Simple and economical, the CompressAR® system consists of an “Arm” on which the CompressAR® disc is assembled, which produces the correct degree of vessel compression, to favour the haemostasis of the femoral artery. A sterile CompressAR® disc is used for each patient.
SuperComfort™ Discs: the 5303 SuperComfort Disc model is equipped with a new elastomeric material that improves the adherence of the disc to the patient’s skin and ensures greater stability in positioning the disc, for even safer and more effective compression on patients of different sizes. The 5303 Jumbo SuperComfort Disc model is recommended for obese patients.
