DuraSheath is an introducer for endovascular procedures that facilitates the insertion of diagnostic and therapeutic devices, combined with excellent navigation and visibility. With its excellent pushability and trackability, it guarantees non-traumatic insertion of the devices. Its structure ensures high resistance to kinking and ovalization of the internal lumen.
It consists of an introducer sheath with a haemostatic valve and a lateral port connected to a plastic three-way valve, and a dilator with a tapered tip and Luer lock at its proximal end.
The haemostatic valve at the proximal end of the introducer sheath fits to and wraps around the guide wires and the catheters to reduce blood loss from the introducer sheath.
A radiopaque marker aids identification of the distal end of the introducer sheath.
Durasheath is also available in a Firm version, characterized by a more rigid and supporting shaft.
