ASAHI guidewires are intended to facilitate the positioning and exchange of diagnostic and therapeutic devices during intravascular procedures and they are exclusively intended for peripheral vascular use.
JOINTLESS COIL
The coil in the distal part of the guide has a unique structure that enables the transition from steel to platinum to be made gradually on the wire, without joints.
This feature guarantees:
- Total lack of swelling of the coil at the joining point, ensuring excellent pushability of the other devices
- Absolute homogeneity of coil flexibility along its entire length, offering excellent twist control of the guide
COATING
The various types of coating of the coils and shaft ensure excellent pushability and precise, secure control of the guide.
SINGLE-BODY GUIDE
The core of the coronary guide (shaft) consists of a single steel wire from the proximal section to the connection at the tip.
This feature ensures transmission of proximal torsion with a 1:1 response of rotation at the distal end.
DOUBLE-COIL GUIDES
The new Asahi double-coil technology in which the second coil is inserted in the first considerably improves twist control and reduces deterioration of the tip.
FEATURES OF DOUBLE-COIL GUIDES
- Better performance in transmitting torsion even in extremely tortuous vessels
- Excellent strength of the tip with exceptional maintenance of the curve set
