The family of ASAHI Master PARKWAY microcatheters offers devices for use exclusively in the abdominal region for the treatment of uterine fibroma, internal bleeding, cancer and liver cancer.
In particular, they can be used in the treatment of liver cancer in TAE (Transcatheter Arterial Embolization) and TAI (Transcatheter Arterial Infusion).
The ASAHI Masters PARKWAY microcatheter consists of braided tungsten microwires that enable the catheter to have a larger internal lumen with the same outside diameter and to withstand higher pressures than steel.
The outer surface of the microcatheter is coated with a hydrophilic polymer, with a high lubricating power on a wet surface. The internal lumen of the shaft (excluding the connector part) is lined with a layer of fluoropolymer to increase the pushability of the guide wire and the other devices. The entire shaft is radiopaque and the distal end is clearly identified by a radiopaque marker.
The range consists of a superselective microcatheter (Soft) and a high-flow (HF) microcatheter, which enables the distal vessels to be reached to perform infusions of contrast liquid, embolic materials and drugs; this second device is also offered in a kit with a prefilled guide.
